8 & Under

Practice is also held evenings, Monday through Friday (except Wednesdays) from 5:30 PM - 6:30- PM (time subject to change based on participation.)  The evening practice is for those unable to make morning practice due to work or day camp.

Attendance: Divers must come to practice the day before a meet to fill out and sign their meet entry form. If you can not participate in a meet, please let the coach know.  Divers should attend at least 3 practices a week in order to dive in the upcoming meet for that week.  This is due to safety concerns. Explanation: if divers don't practice, the coaches can not assure that they are going to be able to perform all of the dives required in a safe manner.  If a diver can not make 3 practices a week, contact the coach directly.

No Practices: When the pool closes to host a B swim meet (generally two or three times a season) there will be no dive team practice. Please look on the swim/dive team calendar and/or bulletin board for these dates.

Weather:  There will still be practice on days when the weather is questionable.  These practices will be shorter than normal and consist of dryland exercises and conditioning. Thunderstorms that include lightning will cancel practice.

Learning New Dives:  The coaches have been encouraging divers to learn at least one new dive.  Be sure to communicate to the coaches your goals in this area.  There may be a special practice for all those who want to learn twisting dives or reverse dives.  Check the bulletin board for any special dates and times.  (The coaches felt that learning as a group would be beneficial.)
