Manor Woods Swim Club

Manor Woods Dive Team (MWDT) is one of 30 teams in the Montgomery County Dive League (MCDL), a recreational and competitive summer dive league. Divers compete against children of the same age in several categories: 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18. The goal of the MWDT is to teach safe diving and promote good sportsmanship in a supervised and supportive environment.

This year, the dive team will participate in four dual meets against teams within our MCDL division (Division II). After the last dual meet, the team's top two divers in each event group compete against the top divers of other teams in our division at a Divisional meet. The top three finalists in each divisional age event group will participate in an All Star meet at the end of the dive season.

Regularly-scheduled dive meets begin promptly at 5:00 pm (rescheduled meets may begin later, particularly if the meet is rescheduled for a week day). For home meets, please meet at the pool at 4:00 pm for warm ups; for away meets times will be given by the coach.

Meets are divided into two halves: divers 12 and under compete in the first half of the meet and divers 13 and over compete in the second half.  All divers are encouraged to stay until the end of the meet to support their team mates and join in this team activity.

Divers must come to practice the day before a meet to fill out and sign their meet entry form. If you can not participate in a meet, please let the coach know in advance.
